Below is a helpful Crochet Hook Sizing Chart for your use/reference:
I've done some work on a cost accounting model for a crochet business. Using some of the standard information I have seen posted such as 3 times the cost of yarn. That's a good starting point and I'm building around that. The first task that I am working through is "What is the cost of yarn used?" I'm going to use replacement cost -- with an exception calculation. It needs to be replacement and not what was paid because the yarn will be replaced, unless purchased especially for this project. Also the yarn cost includes mileage to purchase it at a store, right now I'm setting the base for this at IRS reimbursement rate, may add a gas price increase to the calculation but that tends to fluctuate. of course there is the cost of the tools involved but..figuring the life and calculating the cost based on how long the tool is used for a project is ridiculous, so am going to do a percent calculation for these. Am thinking I'll include utilities and space in this percentage.
My next piece of this will be calculating cost structure for a craft show, and setting up a per yard cost calculation for small items.
Comments more than welcome. Thinking excel and google sheets.
